Darby International Invests in Brix Energia S.A.
WASHINGTON, DC, & SAO PAULO, BRAZIL July 8, 2024 – On April 29, 2024, Darby International Capital LLC ("Darby International") invested $24 million in Brix Energia S.A. (“Brix”) with the purpose of growing Brix’s renewable energy platform.
BRIX is a Brazil-based renewable energy generation platform dedicated to the development, construction, and management of distributed generation (“DG”) assets, comprised of small system-connected solar farms located in the state of Bahia, in the northeast of Brazil. The Investment will finance the development of a portfolio of 24 MW renewable energy projects.
The clean and renewable energy generated by the new portfolio of projects will power small consumers, securing lower energy prices for households and small businesses while also promoting renewable sources of energy.
