Darby International Capital was founded in 2020 and commenced operations after the investment team spun off from its previous firm, Darby Overseas Investments. Darby Overseas Investments was originally founded by former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, Nicholas F. Brady, in 1994. While at Darby Overseas Investments, the team pioneered regional private debt investing in Latin American and managed deployed capital of over $1.17B across 30 portfolio companies in 10 countries. As a new firm, Darby International Capital offers deep emerging markets credit expertise, which allows the firm to create customized credit solutions for companies in need of refinancing and growth.
